I've heard of the oil sludge issue, suffered from it myself, produced records for immaculate maintenance history and been rejected by VW of America for reimbursement. They say they'll reimburse if you can prove you didn't abuse your vehicle, yet I have found NO ONE that has received an ';approved'; from VW with a check for the costs related to the sludge.Has anyone received reimbursement for VW Oil Sludge repairs?
Oil sludge? That sounds like cheap oil. Or maybe short travel trips without proper and thurough warm ups. Both hard on any engine. I have never had that issue as I never have any short drives.(5 miles or less)
