Does the light stay on or comes on at low idle? If its on all the time its probably a bad connection on the new switch . If not and it has l lot of miles on it you may be having oil pressure problems. More info is always help-full.

I have a 1996 honda accord EX and I just got the oil switch repaired now the oil light comes on. How come?
Could it be the oil switch was installed improperly or could it be something else. The car had a pretty bad oil leak and the mechanic said that the oil switch had broke and the oil was coming out of there.I have a 1996 honda accord EX and I just got the oil switch repaired now the oil light comes on.
