The oil is very clear, even close to looking like water. When getting my car repaired, the mechanic changed the engine oil. How do i find out what oil he used?
You do have a mouth ? ask them what kind of oil did you used to put in my carWhen getting my car repaired, the mechanic changed the engine oil. How do i find out what oil he used?
Send him a coded message then it will be a secret just between you two.

You could ring and ask or look on the bill to see if he has specified the oil

There might be a lable stuck some where in the engine compartment or door pillar, goandavaluk.
They usually put a sticker in the window on the driver's side if you live in the USA. This gives you the brand of oil, the last time it was changed and the next interval time to change the oil again. Or just ask.
you have to ask the mechanic.

if you're particular, you can bring in you own oil and/or filter and they'll will just charge you for the labor and whatnot(disposal fee, if applied)
there are a lot of types of oils used incars. easiest way is to ask him
call the mechanic that did the work and ask him.
ask your mechanic, or look on your service reciept. If you are concerned about the water like look and you think he used cheap oil, buy what you feel is the correct oil, and have him change it. when you get an oil change, it is best to read your manual for recommended grade, or some cars have the grade recommended on the fill cap.
ask him!!!!
