check the oil pressure switch on the engine occasionally they explode and when you run the engine it just pumps the oil out and shows no pressure, not expensive and normally easy to changeIsuzu trooper 1999 just started to leak oil and lost oil pressure, is this a major repair?
wel add oil and check to where leak its coming from will give you a price of how much to repair got to know from where its leaking coul dbe easy as a valve cover gasket could be oil plug or filter leak could be a seal got to find whats leaking to know how much
well if its just the oil pan gasket its an easy fix....just drain it unbolt it drop the pan put the new pan gasket on and bolt it back up and done....thats what it seems like to me...
It could be either. If the oil pan gasket has dried up and gone bad, that's an easy fix. However, if there's oil dripping down the back of the motor, you probably have a rear main seal leak, which is more time consuming and more expensive to fix.
You will have to fill it up with oil start the vehicle and try to determine where the oil is leaking from. If you can't find the leak try going to your local automotive shop and ask for a container of gasket restore. This is added to the oil, run the vehicle till it is warm. shut it off and let stand overnight. This product get to dry gaskets and seals and swells them back to original, this should solve your problem. I have used this on a vehicle i have had standing and it worked for me.
